The only major upgrades to the overall episodes I've seen is that the colors seem more vibrant in comparison to Season 1, but other than that and the occasional high detailed scenes (which mainly consists of close-ups or scenes where only 1 character is moving), the majority of the quality and attention to detail has stayed the same for all the succeeding seasons.Īs for the scenes like Ainzach talking to Rakeshir, that's probably going to happen is episode 2. I don't care that the style is the same, I actually prefer that the style stayed the same rather than trying to revamp it needlessly, it's that I'm disappointed that there's a lot of parts that seem sloppily done especially when compared to the needlessly high detailed close ups of Ainz's face. The only parts that pretty much have 2022 quality animation artwork are the close-ups of character faces. The amount of detail attributed to moving characters is abysmal.

The art quality literally falls off at a lot of scenes in the episode, particularly the ones in which there's more than one character moving. I don't know why you'd have expectations of any summoned monsters to look like their LN counterparts, it's also not surprising that they're CGI. They just cut out everything that doesn't progress the plot in the anime so that they can stuff all the plot points of the novels into the season.
